CC850 Introduced: World's Fastest Manual Gear Car
Sweden-based sports car company Koenigsegg introduced its new supercar, the CC850, with the design of the iconic CC8S. The most striking part of the car, admired for its features, was its manual gearbox.
Sweden-based supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg launched its first car, the CC8S, 20 years ago. The giant company has now introduced a new car on its 20th anniversary of this car. The unique supercar bears the company's name CC850 and is widely acclaimed for carrying a design similar to the CC8S.
The new Koenigsegg CC850 attracts the attention of automobile enthusiasts with its features. It should also be noted that the vehicle has a feature that attracts more attention than bringing the iconic design of the CC8S back to the automotive world. The company's new car will have a manual gearbox that works quite interestingly.
World's Fastest Manual Gear Car
The Koenigsegg CC850 incorporates a twin-turbocharged V8. It is reported that the vehicle can produce 1,385 horsepower when it consumes E85 type fuel, while this number drops to 1,185 in normal fuel. It is also among the statements that the vehicle has a maximum torque of 1,382 Nm.
It should be noted that the CC850, which draws attention with its power and design, is a very light car. The vehicle, which is 17 centimeters longer than the iconic CC8S, weighs 1,385 kilograms.
Although the design of the vehicle, which managed to pass the crash tests, is mostly similar to the CC8S, there are some changes. It is possible to say that some of these are the rectangular design used for the rear lights, the smooth bumper, and the wide diffuser. In addition, we can also state that minor changes made to the headlights make a difference in the modern appearance of the CC850.
The interior design is similar to a modern Koenigsegg vehicle. However, we should not go without saying that the instrument panel and center console resemble the CC8S. In addition to the use of carbon fiber and leather in the interior, the Swedish flag on the gear does not escape attention. The vehicle also includes a surround-view camera, climate control, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and many more modern features.
The vehicle, which has a clutch, can be used both automatically and manually
The car will have a 6-speed manual gearbox to manage its 9-speed gearbox. The vehicle, which uses the 9-speed automatic transmission of the company's Jesko model, also has a clutch. According to the statements, the company uses a special system to make the 9 nine-speed gearbox work like a 6-speed manual, and this system is called "TWMPAFMPC". This interesting name that the company thinks for the system means 'the most powerful and fastest manual transmission car in the world.
Thanks to this interesting system, it gives drivers the chance to use the vehicle automatically or manually if they want. Thus, while the car is used manually via the clutch and gear lever, it can also be used automatically by switching to automatic mode. The company states that the transition between modes is seamless.
Koenigsegg did not make any statement about the price of the CC850, which will be produced in only 50 units and aims to be the fastest manual transmission vehicle in the world. However, the statements on the subject show that the vehicle may have a price of at least 3 million dollars.
