It was heard that the platform was hacked, with the posts on social media showing those absurd moments. In those posts, it was seen that on the morning of September 1, 2022, Kutuzovsky street in Moscow was covered with taxis. The reason for this taxi traffic was that all idle taxis were called to this street at the same time via the application.

In the statement shared after the incident, Yandex Go confirmed that there was a problem with the platform. “On the morning of September 1, Yandex Taxi was faced with an attempt by attackers to disrupt the service - several dozen drivers received bulk orders in the Fili region,” the statement said. statements were included. 

However, it has been shared that measures have already been taken in the application algorithm so that a similar situation does not occur in the future.

While it is not yet clear whether the hackers who attempted to attack the platform have been identified, their bad joke caused a traffic jam that lasted between 40 minutes and 2 hours. All that remains of the event are the images of those moments for now.
