Chelsea made an 82.5 million euro stopper transfer

Premier League giant Chelsea is adding a new defender to its roster. Chelsea signed a central defender transfer from Leicester City for 82.5 million euros. The London team succeeded in recruiting Leicester City's successful young defender, Wesley Fofana. 

The 21-year-old young French defender was transferred to the Leicester team from Saint-Etienne for 35 million euros in 2020. Chelsea excited their fans with their flash transfer. The fans are already wondering how Wesley Fofana will contribute to the team. 

Named Young Player of the Year

Although Wesley Fofana missed a part of the last season due to injury, he caught everyone's attention with his high performance by playing in the semi-finals of the European Conference League with Leicester on his return from injury. 

The French player was also named the Young Player of the Year for Leicester in his first season in the 2020-2021 Premier League and showed one of his best performances in England by winning the final against Chelsea in that season's FA Cup final.

In addition, new transfer Wesley Fofana contributed to his team with 1 goal in 12 games played last season.
