Innovation in Telegram Account Protection Feature
Innovation in Telegram Account Protection Feature
It's almost time, you will be able to make your account more secure by connecting your e-mail address to your Telegram account.
Telegram is reportedly working on a new way to help its users protect their accounts. The new two-step security update will allow you to link your account to an email ID, and the app will use that address for verification every time you log in from a new device.
While Telegram hasn't officially shared any details, app developer and prolific reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi has managed to snap a few screenshots showing the feature in development. As you can see in the attached post, the feature will allow users to add an email id "to protect your account". The feature will also include a Google Sign-In option for Gmail users.
Additional Security Option
The feature will appear in the Privacy & Security settings in the Telegram app, and when tapped, it will say "This email address will be used every time you log in to your app account from a new account."
The company has activated the Two-Step Verification feature to help users protect their accounts. With this feature, you can protect your account with an additional password and you can use that password to access Telegram on a new device, however, this feature is probably not as secure as the upcoming feature as it uses a predefined static password.
Are you using the two-step verification feature? Will you secure your own account with your email ID when the feature launches? Don't forget to write in the comments!
